Bio

Henrique Carepa is a third-degree black belt under Master Carlos Gracie Jr.

He was born in Brazil and moved to California in 2012 to work as one of the directors for IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu federation). Professor Henrique has been training Jiu Jitsu for more than 20 years, he is an active Gracie Barra competitor, and extremely passionate about teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. 

Professor Henrique and his family moved to Charleston in 2021 with the mission to open his own Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school so he could continue spreading the vision of Master Carlos Gracie Jr and also provide the highest level of Jiu Jitsu to the community.

Professor Henrique earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing back in Brazil and has been a hard working businessman since then. Jiu Jitsu has always been his gateway from stress and busy life, so he knows first hand the importance of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the modern lifestyle and also as a unique tool for education and self development.
